How can something hard enough to last for years look as though it could simply fold?
The Fold ring began with this contradiction.
I wanted to take sterling silver, a hard and unforgiving material, and make it feel soft. As if a solid piece of metal had suddenly become flexible — folding, bending and curving while it moves around the finger.
Created through the lost-wax technique, the ring follows the same idea as the Fold bracelet: the beauty is in the movement of the material. Its curves are deliberately irregular, giving the piece an organic, sculptural character rather than a perfectly controlled shape.
It is a statement sterling silver ring made to be noticed, but not because it is trying to be perfect. Its volume, curves and changing surfaces create a different reflection every time your hand moves.
A piece of handmade silver jewellery for someone who likes jewellery with a physical presence — something that feels designed, but still carries the trace of the hand that made it.
Because sometimes I like silver best when it looks like it shouldn’t be able to do what it does.
